I often go to other people's blogs and wonder how they do it all. How do they have jobs and families and other hobbies and still keep up with scrapping and creating and posting? Well, obviously we are not quite as good as some at juggling everything. Sometimes we spend way too much time on our computers and sometimes life starts shouting at us loud enough that we close them and walk away for a week or two. What started out as something fun sometimes starts to feel like work and that's when we know it's time for a break. So thanks for your understanding and patience - and for letting us catch our breath.

That being said, we love what we do! We are trying to decide what to do for our next few kits, but in the meantime we will try to keep up with some freebies for you. Downloading From Our Store

Thanks for making our birthday sale a great success! We appreciate all of you who went and purchased kits from our store - it was definitely more business than we have ever had before. That being said, there were a few glitches, but hopefully we were able to get everything worked out.

A few words of advice. We are aware that there are sometimes problems with downloads from our site. However, we have not been able to find a solution to this problem. Sometimes when you go to open a folder that you downloaded it gives you a message that the file is corrupt or that it is empty. If this happens, please just delete the empty file and download it again. We have allotted plenty of downloads for each link to help with this problem. If you are running into this issue, it also helps if you only download one file at a time instead of trying to do multiple downloads at once.

Also, your links are only good for about a month so you need to make sure you get everything downloaded and opened up to see that it works correctly before your links expire.

So now that Christmas is all cleaned up I know we all have A LOT of super cute pictures to scrapbook. I actually went back and did some pages from 5 years ago and had a blast. We missed a few days

Every year around this time life gets a little crazy--Tami once again took her girls to state so she is off playing volleyball coach. As much as I know it is bound to happen time and again I hate missing days so even though it is Saturday I decided to just go ahead and post them anyway. The first freebie is a template I made for one of my school pages--I found it really easy to use and thought some of you might enjoy it also. Our second freebie is some wordart. I have to say I love love love Thanksgiving it is my most favorite holiday ever!! It is the one holiday (usually) all of my siblings and our many children get together at our parents house. It is always very hectic but eat, talk, laugh, play games and eat some more. Yea it is time for another new kit. With Tami & I mostly having boys, girls kits are not usually what we are drawn to create. About a year ago we had a customer who wanted us to make a book for her using these colors (anyone who has been to PrincessHairstyles.com might recognize this kit from the book she sells on her site). We held onto the kit for quite awhile and finally just got around to getting it ready to release. Girly Girl is a lovely combination of shades of purple, pink, green and cream. The kit includes 25 papers that range from flowers to stripes to polka dots. The 83 elements include some GREAT flowers, brads, ribbon and more. Two quicklayouts will be given away for free on the blog with 2 more only available by purchase. The purple polka dot alpha is a perfect match and super easy to work with. Alright we gave a little bit of extra time since we barely put this kit up yesterday. There were 313 followers when we posted the link information for the kit. Whoo Hoo! So now here are your instructions on how to go and get this great kit if you were one of those 313. There was some confusion last time we gave a free kit away to the followers so I will see if I can explain it better this time so everyone who wants it can go and get it.

You need to get to your blogger dashboard. If you are signed in then it should show up as an option in the upper right hand corner of your screen. If you need to get signed in, go to www.blogger.com and sign in. It should take you right to your dashboard. If you scroll down the page a bit it will show you updates and posts for the blogs that you follow. There you should find a post from Scrapping Sisters called Free Kit For Followers. You will have to copy and paste the link into your browser address bar to get to the links for the downloads of the kit.

Chic Alpha

We are switching things up a little bit so today we have the Chic alpha available. It is black sparkly with big swirls off most of the letters. The alpha includes capital letters only. Although it might be tricky to spell out a full word with it, it is perfect for the start of a title or journaling block or really however you want to use it. The alpha goes along perfectly with the kit and gives it just a hint of the girly touch. We didn't have it done when I finished my layout for the kit and I am thinking I may have to go back and change my title so I can use the alpha!! Finally! We have been working hard all weekend and finally have our store up and running. It is far from finished and we will continue to add items as quickly as we can but we are officially functioning now. WooHoo! Our store name is White Daisy Designs. We are so excited to start the release of this next kit. It's an idea we've had for a while and I must say it turned out every bit as good as we had hoped it would.

With this kit we are also changing up the way we do our freebies a bit. After a year of designing everything for free we are now preparing to open a store. It will be our own store and we are pretty sure you will find we charge less for our kits than anyone else around. We put an incredible amount of time into designing and we have spent a decent amount purchasing items, so we felt like maybe it was time to start covering our costs.

But, we really love giving freebies away on our blog and we don't want to give that up. So we have come up with a bit of a compromise. Anyone who has downloaded any of our kits knows that we tend to create kits that are very large. With two of us designing and wanting to provide plenty of options we intentionally make big kits. So we have decided that we will continue to offer a portion of our kits for free. The free part will be as large as many regular kits (for instance, the free part of He's My Brother has 10 papers and 50 elements, as well as wordart and quick layouts) and will still be released over a two week period. But now, beginning the first day we release a new kit we will offer the entire kit for sale right here on the blog. It will include all of the papers and elements that you will see used in our layouts and on the previews, usually about twice as much as what is available for free. So those of you who don't want to wait two weeks can pick the whole kit up on the first day it releases. The entire kit will be $2.50 for the first two weeks while it is available on our blog. It will only be available in our store after that and will cost a bit more. When we release a new kit our previous kit will no longer be available for free.
